Egret Fishing Series, 6 photos...

[matthewo]

I forgot I just changed to my 2x teleconverter the time, so I had it wide open at f5.6, and they are crops, so the quality isn't good. also lighting was poor, but I was just lucky to capture it all...

mathew - great shots. One of the best "hunting" sequences I think I have ever seen.

Good catch, even if you weren't happy with your settings.

Nice! Amazing hunters, aren't they?

awesome awesome series!

Outstanding; I'd be pretty thrilled with those if they were mine!

Nice series. I like the last 2. Egrets are tough with their pure whiteness. I hate when I get the halo, happens to me on white parts of birds. Is it CA/fringing?

[matthewo]

yeah CA becomes an issue for me with the egrets sometimes, gets worse when using a teleconverter 2x wide open. doesn help that the background is really dark compaired to the bird, and im usually at -.7 or more EV
