Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Whenever I go on safari I always like to make a trip to Amboseli, the elephants are wonderful to photograph and very numerous - we see constant herds of 30 or more

Posing??? Really??? Everyone knows the first rule of posing is 'weight on the back leg(s)"!!! And talk about your football shoulders... yeesh!

;)

Very nice... would love to get to that part of the world to shoot one day.

I love them! Would definitely put that first one on my wall!

I would love to get to Africa one day to do a safari and see the Elephants. I fell in love with them while living in Thailand when i was 11.

Needs a little head tilt also. :)

The first two are not bad. They are great animals to photograph. It is unfortunate that there is a second animal in the images. It is not too much of a problem in the first one, but in the second image, their bodies seem to blend together which, in my opinion, is a bit of a distraction. (You should have had your guide chase the second one away. :biggrin-93: )

Have you been to Tarangire Park in Tanzania? It is a major place for elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing lions. It is the only place I have ever seen lions in a tree.

Bryan, nice shots of the Baobab trees. The Mara was nice, but there are no lions in trees, at least not that I saw. :biggrin-93:

For me, any place on the savanna in Africa is a great place to be. I cannot get enough of the whole picture, landscapes, animals and the photography. I am booked to Namibia this year and Mashatu next year. I can hardly wait.

Quite the change. I don't think I am about to do that, but I would like to be able to go and live in a somewhat centralized location like maybe Capetown for maybe 3 to 6 months and take excursions from there. The major cost 20 to 30% of getting to Africa from my place is the airfare. Being able to stay somewhere for a while has, I think, a bit more potential for multiple safaris, rather than having to shell out large sums of money for airfare for each safari. (Not sure my wife would go for it though?)

They're now self financing (a teaching pension helps ;) ). They shoot for some of the lodges and do lots of other paid photography and do training courses. They also run a charity teaching locals from the "townships" photography as means of supplementing their incomes... by the way, if you know anyone who has old digital cameras they'd like to donate and you'd be willing to take there he'd be happy to hear from you. www.h4urd.co.uk

Granddad, I will keep that in mind. I did have an old DSLR, but I converted it for IR photography, so it really isn't much good to anyone unless they are interested in IR work. I have since converted a 5d Mark III so the old one is gathering dust.
