If you view the full size, you can see why you need to turn off VR when shooting fast.

I shot this at 1/800 to darken the BG while shooting f/3.2 because I wanted bokeh snow balls and a blurred bg. I used my 150watt/sec Impact strobe with a 7" reflector, at half power, for fill 622TX in "supersync" mode.

How did you survive an encounter with such a verocious predator? Did you have a shooting assistant that you sacrificed so you could make your getaway and share your results with us? Or were you shooting inside a protective cage? Those eyes say to me "I see lunch!"
