Ok, I know there is some things that couple have been better on the preperation of this shot. I was driving a 18 wheeler over the GW bridge from New Jersey to NY on the Jersey side. (One of the bumpiest roads in the country). One arming it out the passenger side of the truck with a non-is lens tapped out to 300mm. With that said I have tried to capture this look for some time. I know if I could walk somewhere with a tripod it would be better but...
Some reason this on stood out to me like its a blast from the past and i really liked it. Industrial feeling. Wondering what you all think of it. Thanks for viewing and CC always welcome!

Lots of smog at sunset. About 5pm. It just had that cool golden glow this week :)

I wish that haze was burnt off would be cool shots.
The greenish tint is weird to me as well

I kinda like the haze look. Some will be due to the shooting at 300mm. quality dropped a bit. I was trying to bring out the look of the haze on this shot but I agree with the green. I tried to pull out some of it on the edit (1st) but it is more true to how it looked. It was a rather ODD looking sky and scene. Thats what I like to capture. The different things :)
Thanks for your inputs!

Like 'em both. Add a very "industrial" feel to NYC.

Yeah i have been thinking NYC in the 1940's when that boom was going on. I get the same feeling when Im there!

.. ecept for that red LED sign donw on the 2nd. But oh well for how i got them, Thanks :)

Really nice shots. The first one is very nice, even with the haze. The second one I think the haze takes away from the shot a bit.

Nice shots ... there's always a haze! If you ever get a chance to stop on the Jersey side, West New York (town before Lincoln Tunnel) is a beautiful spot to take photos. Past through there one night and it was the most amazing sight of NYC I ever saw!

My husband drives a truck and I'm VERY impressed that you shot these while driving! Even if you hadn't, I think they are great shots.

Vinny, Thanks
I have had the chance to get kinda close to there but if I get to close to the tunnle Ill hit the top of my truck on the lincon tunnel ... not good. So trucks have to take the top of the george washington bridge. I have seen a guy walking on the bridge (didnt know it was legal to do so) with a camera. I was SO jelious!! I was on the I287 in Brooklyn earlier this day and was real close to the city but there was no way i was taking a hand off of the wheel. and If I Stopped the truck ... Well it would have made the news lol.

twoboysnmygirl, Thanks
it took many many tries to get one worth smiling about. I have been shooting this sight for 2 months trying to get it without blur, cars, poles ect. and the right time of the day. finally let persistance pay off!

Here's a shot of the GWB from the air ... I only wish I had a DSLR at the time.

Cracking shot Vinny! Do you think that horizon could be straightened up a little though? It bugs me a bit.
