End of the year in the mountains

A quick half hour run into the mountains got me to this area on Sunday morning.....a final look at the year 2012 from Paradise Meadows.....anybody guess where this ski resort is ?

Nice shots, I like the third one best. As far as where the ski resort is, since you are on the Island, that would be my guess, but then I am cheating a bit because I know the area a bit - Vancouver Island that is. My guess is that it is in the central part of the Island.

One request, if you post more than one or two images, could you please number them. It makes it alot easier for a reviewer to refer to them when they are numbered. Thanks.

It is on the island, but I could have been anywhere when I shot these images.....Paradise Meadows is the cross country area of Mt Washington....

Go back to your first two images and reset your white balance to those in the last two. They are nice snapshots of Vancouver Island.

The first two were shot as the sun was just peeking over the coastal mountains on the mainland......the second two were shot over an hour later......notice the low sun angles in the shadows......white balance shows colour cast of the sunrise.....

I think that the two first shots' white balance is way too warm and that they are around one third or half a stop underexposed. The two remaining ones seem to be ok, maybe slightly underexposed - but way less than the first two ones.

BTW - what a beautiful sightseeing spots. Your compositions are really good - especially the second one with the moon.
