This was a terrible situation. Brilliant damn light on whitewashed boards and dark shadows.
There are no middle tones so I did what I could to make the dog obvious which meant making the boards a bit dull.
Might diddle with it a bit when I get time.

First two pictures had no dog.
But he was wandering down the street so I waited a bit.
The peeing I had nothing to do with. (North Korean dog)

Looks like a shot an FSA photographer would have taken in the Depression, the dog is pissing in English
