I think I'm happy with this shot of a sunlit dome with a ferry pushing through a squall a mile offshore. Then I look again and think, maybe not! It's different (I think), but is it any more than that?

No no! This is very very good. I love the contrast between the bright nicely lit building and the foggy/gloomy weather the ship seems to be going through. Not to mention the birds that are nicely lit as well. I like this. Nice comp as well.

I like it shows our typical weather  what settings did you use?

Thanks for the positives on this one Andrew & A$olut. It's a bit of a different shot for me. As for settings - 300mm lens, ISO 200, 1/640, f5.6, Aperture Priority, -0.3EV. It was windy and difficult to hand-hold, hence the settings.

Regards, Tony
