Main question:
Is The Ergorest Multi Tripod a good choice for macro photography? If so, any recommendations for heads / mounts for it?
I am basically overwhelmed by the choices I have for tripods... I read threads about a tripod being 2 of 3 (sturdy, lightweight, inexpensive) and understand that... also read a thread that basically said to get a good tripod it will cost around $1000 or more... thats more than my camera cost me...) I know the cheap tripods arent going to work, I have 2, they are quite good for a camcorder to sit on but when I put my camera on it, it droops immediately.
I ultimately want to do all types of photography - architecture, landscape, portraits, macro but right now I am mainly concerned with macro
I seen the ergorest used for a macro set up on a blog and the blogger had really fantastic macro photos
So is this tripod good? I know I'll need to get a head for it and other parts as well.
Are ball heads not ideal for macro? Can you recommend a head for it?
What about that gorilla tripod that bends?
Any recommendations would be really helpful.
Thanks!
