I'm still going with color.

What did you do to the sky :| My brain immediately tells me the B&W is wrong because of it. Feels completely unbalanced.
Have to go for the colour as the lesser of two evils cause the colour of the sky in that is far too cyan to look nice.

I think I like this much better. In the first attempt, I was thrown off by the black sky and other tonal differences between the two. This one allows my eye to focus more on the barn and water towers, rather than a stark black void.

Thanks, I prefer the new B&W but don't dislike the colour version.

Woops, didn't see that one. It's much nicer. Think you may have cropped a little too much off the bottom though... don't think there is enough happening in the top third of frame to warrant a mainly sky crop.
