That is why I don't let people over 60 get to me because I know I will have the last laugh.

haha true story I was with my gf at the time in a place where they never got over the civil war.

Some old biddy thought she was could get away with pretending to "be nice" by saying "oh, I guess that's allowed nowadays" with a roll of her eyes to show it was really her passive aggressive way of voicing her disapproval.

I could see my girl was about to go postal on the poor old thing... so I preemptively ended it by saying "Ah dont sweat it. It doesn't matter what she thinks, she'll be dead soon". Said to the gf, but loud enough for everyone around to hear.

I think everyone should be forced to get married at 14... no sex.. immediately divorced, and the girl gets half of whatever the guys owns. That would solve this weeping and moaning broken heart crap in a hurry... and prepare men for real life! lol! (and real marriage)!

This is a thread for all those dealing with relationship issues. I am the original poster of the ridiculously long "Girl Trouble" thread, and now realize what a mess I've started! It's not necessarily a bad thing, but some of the members here do not seem to appreciate our use of the forum in this way. I only did it because this is the only forum I'm a part of, and have been around long enough to get to know some of the people here and even regard them as friends. Thank you for your support, and kudos to you for hearing our stories.

Now then, if you read that thread you would see what a mess I was. I was pretty depressed, and all it was, was just one bad date. Sure, there are other complications, but it all boils down to the same thing: crap happens. I'm still not happy about it, but I've at least come to terms that you cannot change the past. It's like Rafiki said, "it's in the past, why does it matter?" Do not dwell on the past and do not worry about the future, or you will corrupt your present. Time heals all wounds. It's been a couple of weeks now and I've been able to get back to doing the regular daily life activities, and in time, I will no longer worry about that experience (I hope). Thank you all for hearing me out.

It does get better. Hakuna matata.

Sure talk about it. But this is not the group for self help. Plenty of them around.

You know, there's some reasoning as to why people ask for help on the internet, or like to vent about this kind of stuff. The anonymity of a faceless forum page makes talking about things easier. There's a comfort in talking for some, even if the problem seems trivial. Sure, you may have had your right arm blown off by a mortar while wrestling on the ground with seven goddamn hyenas and a ball python, and that may make someone else's problems seem trivial, but to them, their problems are as real as the missing arm and psychological trauma associated with limb loss. Albeit, much less severe, but I think you get the idea. My point is, don't be too hard on someone because they chose to post his issue on the internet. Sometimes that's the only way of talking it out they have.
