Experience with Tamron 200-500?

THis lens sounds interesting, but I want to know if it will work with my EX2 tele extender? I have two eagles at the far end of my meadow, and cannot sneak close enough for a good picture. The lens review is here.

What brand is the teleconvertor? The Canon ones are made to work with a select few Canon lenses. Other brands; Sigma, Tamron etc. should work with any lens of the correct mount.

Keep in mind that a 2X converter will steal about two stops of light. That will mean that if you use a lens with a smaller max aperture like the one in question...you will most likely loose autofocus.

My TC is a Canon . Maybe I should save for the Canon 100-400.
