Eye-fi card. Worth it or gimmick?

As for the Nikon support. Great, another menu item. Just want the D90 needed.

It allows you to turn the Eye-Fi card off. Hardly something I would worry about. They give the example of being on an airplane or being in a hospital. I don't shoot on airplanes and I'm rarely in the hospital. If there's no network available or one that you're configured to access, it's not going to connect anyway.

It's a step in the right direction, but I suspect that by the time this technology matures camera makers will be including wi-fi access in their bodies.
