Facebook pic problems?

When I try to load my pictures onto Facebook they turn out really dark?
They didn't last week, I changed the pictures to make them smaller on my camera, would this cause the problem?
I also did some red-eye reduction and cropping in Picture Project.
Any help would be appreciated.

Are they saved as .jpg's?

Yes they are........strange cause when I look at them in the program they are fine.
