Facebook Resizing 960px, 2048px, other?

hey guys i am actually making a FB preset in lightroom right now, i set my pixels to 900 on long edge but then next to that it says "resolution" do i just set that to 300?

If it is just for facebook, then I would set it at 72. Anything above that is not necessary for viewing on a monitor.

Resolution has zero impact for displaying on a monitor. It is only relevant when printing where the size of dots are arbitrary. The size of dots on a monitor are set by the person's screen size and their screen resolution.

300 ppi, 72 ppi, even 1 ppi - look exactly the same when displayed electronically. For electronic display the pixel dimensions of the photo are the only numbers that have meaning relative to image size. You would want to consider the image file size, but again 300 ppi, 72 ppi, or any ppi, has no effect on the file size.

And went with 72 invade they didn't want people to print their stuff out at a high quality. (I hit send to early last time). They are correct though. You can make it anything you want.
