What do you guys think?

There is nothing in this image that says 'father son', looks like two strangers waiting for a bus ....

Edit: Try and get your subjects to drop the water bottle before the shot, unless this is 'street photography' and they didn't know you were taking this shot.

Any comments on the composition? Anything I can edit to make the picture visually better?

Composition c&c per your request :) I think the composition is too busy, the photo also seems cropped off at odd places. I agree with Geaux, I would never have known it was a father and son photo. The father's head blends into something else dark in the background - might be the stop light, not sure. I like the idea of a father and son shoot, just wish maybe the subjects were closer together, with a tighter crop.

Haha it wasn't set up, just saw them and took the picture. Thought the composition looked cool.

That's a very interesting picture and title. I thought it WAS setup. I like the poses because they give it a story but i don't like the scene.

Can't do it on this computer, but I'd be curious to see what it would look like cropping out the "father" and the whole white building on the left.

I am new here and new at photography. However, from the books I have been reading and things I have learned while on here I do have an opinion.

I think it looks to much like a random snap shot. There is nothing here that begs a second look, so a first look is not moving.

Im not a fan of the subject. Also, if your going to include the canon, include the whole thing. . . .

Again, I am very new here and I cannot shoot good photos. I am just stating a view point.

I agree with clickaddict. Maybe if you crop out the father and the building?

if the 'father' and buildign are cropped out, the picture begs a completely different story which, again, is a very interesting aspect of this photo.

I see what you're saying chevybaby. I guess when I think 'father and son', I assume it's a close relationship between the two. The photo makes me think the relationship is less than ideal. If that's you're going for, kanhaiya16, you got it.

Maybe the sky can be a bit more definitive. Its so bright. :sun: Nice idea though. I see what you were going for. I do agree that they are a bit far away from each other.
