Fav Photographer Project

I need to do a paper on my fav photographer and why. The problem is, I don't know of any photographers!!! I just like photography! Can you guys give me some names and web addy's of some people so I can check em out and make a decision? I like architectural photography, esp from other countries (i'm in the us). I also like city/urban shots. Some portraits. Mostly stuff that shows culture/life in other countries. Thanks! -kris
