Nice pic! Some detail may be lost in the shadows but the heavy contrast gives it a certain appearance that I like.

I tried to keep the shadows down so as not to distract from the subject of interest. There is a miniature of the cathedral off to the left which could compete with the subject. It did for me so I dropped the exposure down a couple of stops. One of the nicer things about shooting digital is that you don't have to do fan dance in the darkroom to compensate for such problems with the initial exposure.
