Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hello...I haven't been around here for a while and haven't really done much with my camera in the time that I've been gone, due to some life circumstances. I just picked the camera back up a few weeks ago and wanted to post a few for C&C. Thanks!

A couple of immediate thoughts - on the first two, remember the rule of thirds in the placement of animals and people in images - In the first one, I would have moved the dog a bit to the left and in the second one, a bit to the right...colour is good, and the images are nice and sharp.

I like the third one - I might have placed the bridge in the upper third position in the image and shown a bit more of the stream, but maybe that is just me...colour is good and the image is nice and sharp.

Please number your images - makes it easier for the reviewer to refer to them - thanks.

Cheers,

WesternGuy

I agree with you on the placements of the pup! I feel that if #3 was cropped it may take away from the stream which is the best part. Beautiful colours in all of them:)

Thanks for the feedback! I know my composition needs a lot of work. Right now, I'm really happy to have a photo that's exposed correctly and that isn't soft. lol

In the 3rd one, the part that bugs me is the bits of the parking lot that you can see behind the trees to the left of the bridge...but I can't move the bridge away from that cider mill back there and I'm not great at PP at this point, so trying to clone it out made it look worse than it did to begin with.

Just wanted to show you guys a couple more from the day that I took this at the bridge...couple different angles.

I know the vignette is probably too much in these...

#6 (just a snapshot, but this is the cider mill I was at)

Just a thought... What about a recrop and a B/W conversion of the first one? Kind of like...

I really like number 4, and yes, get rid of the vignettes, they do nothing for the picture, except hide parts of the image...personally, I am not that keen on putting vignettes in colour images, for me they are more for black and white, but then that is just me.

Thanks for the input! And thanks for that edit - I love it. I know I'll probably get a lot of crap for this, but the PP on those was done with Picnik. lol I just got a new computer and couldn't find my Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 disk, so I was just using Picnik until I found it (which I have now and it is re-installed as of yesterday).

Awe love the first photo since you cropped it (now #7). I think it could be on a cover of a book or something-beautiful!!. What a proud looking dog! And I love #5 parking lot and all. However, I'm not too crazy about about the leaves on the left-I think they compete for attention with the stream.
