Few shots... Please C&C

Hi all,

I'm totally new at this. I've just purchased my first DSLR camera a month ago. I took a few shots of my neighbor's flowers. Please C&C. I've love to learn as much as I can. Thanks.

1. A = f/5, Shutter = 1/3200s, ISO 100 using Nikon D5100 with 55-200mm lens
2. Same settings. The white O is the fence, I'm using it as my frame.
3. I saw these two at the back of the walking path. I didn't want to come too close to scare them away.

Not a bad start, there are some "newbie" issues with these shots, but I do like your thought pattern with them.

I'm not entirely certain it would be an improvement but i find sometimes using the "rule of third" when shooting flowers like this will help the picture a lot!

And for the lil one on the ground, cool subject! I think it has too many distracting elements around it though. Next time, be mindful of the angle and try not to just stand, point, and shoot! (If thats what you did ) Give it some thought, see what angle could be cool!

@lil_Bobby, I was standing and shot that picture. There's no room for any angle. Either standing up or go lower but I was afraid too much moment will scare them away. Thanks for the suggestions.
