Agree, an interesting take, I'm all for a bit of artistic experimenting , if its good enough for Man Ray ........
The Snapseed app I use when editing phone camera images has an assortment of frames and effects that simulate various types of Victorian chemical damage and ageing etc, which can sometimes spice up an image if used carefully, and why not although not to everyone's taste
