(Cadeaux = Gifts) Spotted in Quebec last week. There still are Kodak moments.
Thanks. I think you are right about cropping to make a stronger photo, and I'll try it. I was just thinking of it as a snapshot, and posted to "just for fun" but I'll go back and see what I can do to make it a better photo. Every shot should be a learning experience .Ha! Now, that's a great sign. Very imaginative.
I think the blue sky in the background looks heavily processed, or maybe you increased the saturation to get the color so vivid? I'm looking at this from my crap laptop monitor, you understand, but there is something around the steeple that draws my eye away from the sign.
Have you thought about cropping it out completely? If your main focal point is to be the sign, the steeple doesn't need to be in the frame. You could turn the image into a vertical by neatly cropping out that right side, keeping the flags and, if there were still some slice of the building showing on the bottom, a little bit of sky-cloning would rub it out.
Just a suggestion, it might be a stronger image that way.A good catch, regardless.
Cool! Please post it if you get it the way you'd like it, so we can see.![]()
