Filters for long zoom cameras

Hi,

I'd like to buy a Fujifilm S8000fd camera or similar, which is a long-zoom (18x), compact and digital. I wonder if I could use "normal" circle filters for it since I do landscape photography and a polarizing filter is a must. On this picture (of the cam) seems like I could screw up a filter there...

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, the lens on that camera does have threads to attach filters...I'm not sure what size though.
