Finally got a Scanner

Photos I took while in the Hospital. Feel free to C&C. The pictures themselves are a lot sharper with less noise. I'm using film. I think the poor quality is a combination of the scanner and photobucket quality. Not sure if I should post with such bad quality.

No photoshop edits on them yet. Just strictly photographs. Let me know what you think.

Couple questions:

1. What could I have done to improved these photos (w/o photoshop)?
2. How can I improve these shots w/ photoshop?

A very powerful and well executed series, especially given the conditions. Well done! The only thing I would suggest as a correction is to correct the colour castes. #2 has distinct gree caste, #4 a blue, and #5 green-blue (due I assume to the various lighting sources). I think I would prefer to see #s 3 & 6 as colour rather than monochrome. Esp #6 tends to give me the feeling that something bad has happened, when in fact it's a happy ending.

No, color correction is what I would suggest as well - although I wouldnt revert the last one back to color. Just works for me.
