Finally got around to fixing up a few pictures

I went to england this past summer and have just gotten around to fixing them up. Let me know what you all think. I'd really appreciate some feed back on how to make "better" pictures.

1. Outside the airport.

2. The train station by my hotel.

3. Twickenham rugby stadium.

4. Out just walking around.

5. Westminster Abey

6. Over processed building picture.

7. Playing with some HDR

8. Playing with HDR in photoshop.

I'm really looking forward to buying my first dslr this christmas. Right now I'm just shooting with my simple point and shoot 10.1 sony cybershot. Any tips on buying my first entry/intermediate level dslr?
