After being thwarted by either wild fire smoke, clouds, or both for the last 3 new moons I was finally able to attempt a Milky Way shot during a trip to western Colorado this weekend.

Nice! I like the amount of color you’ve captured in the core and stars. Is this a composite blend with the foreground?

Thanks! The Milky Way was taken tracked with a skyguider, 4 min exposure at a (relatively) lower ISO which helps bring out the colors.

And yes this is a composite. (Taken same night, different angles)
