Photos NOT OK to edit
A couple photos I took of one of my best friends this weekend, though with the helmet I guess his identity really doesn't matter. What a pain in the neck it was to carry this armor to the river. Lit using the fire and the ambient blue-hour light.

Surprised this hasn't received more comments. You're really upping the game on the scene with the battle scarred amour. Of the two I, prefer the 2nd shot for its in your face drama.

On the first, as in the other shot, I still find the cloth wrapped sword distracting, and the flame uninteresting, there are some better options out there, that could really take this idea over the top.

Thank you. The armor is a lot of fun to work with.

Interesting that you find the sword uninteresting because of the cloth and fire. For me, it's quite the opposite.

No disrespect intended on your work, because as I've said previously you've expanded your skill set tremendously. I just tend to be very detail oriented. Back when I did more themed work, I constructed some fairly elaborate sets, some of which have been posted here on TPF. I always found the tiniest details were the ones that ultimately pushed an image over the top. Like the dented armor.... that was well played here, it added to the believability of the theme! As to the sword, Wikipedia defines it such - "A flaming sword is a sword which is glowing with a flame which is produced by some supernatural power."Check out Beric Dondarion in "Game of Thrones" you see the sword, the flame isn't just a constant source of light, it's a mixture of color/shadow, it dances around and seems to emanate from the blade, not a rag wrapped around it.

G'day Dan

I prefer #1 as is shows a great sense of the dramatic ... and I can visualise the effect it might have had 1000yrs ago in the real world of those days. To face an enemy whose sword was flaming could have scared the opposition and so on and so on ....
