I think this is a really nice series of photos. Some of them for my tastes are a little noticeably processed/maybe hdr'd? - I feel like I notice the processing sometimes more than the photo itself and for me it somewhat takes away from it. It looks like you had some tricky/mixed lighting in some, either low light or being indoors/inside a truck and maybe the meter was reading the light in the distance.

I like the way you captured the feeling of the day, you give viewers an idea what it was like. The portraits nicely capture the personalities too. The only thing I might suggest would be to think about the backgrounds, in the third from the bottom it looks like the camera wasn't quite straight and at an event where there's signage or anything with lines etc. it's more noticeable. (I usually try not to cut off lettering mid letter but either keep it out of the frame or have a portion of it that's readable or that at least looks even and not chopped off.)

I particularly like the one of a firefighter climbing a wall, that and the one of the ladder truck from the back, those have a unique perspective. Well done.

The tone mapping is a bit heavy for my personal preference but it seems to be a popular look. Great stuff!

Great photos! The only suggestion that I have is that I would remove your watermark from all of the images. It's at the bottom and IMO it's a bit distracting seeing it in every image like that. Otherwise these are great.

I must say rugged I find it rather funny that you would comment and say this when your logo is just horrible (the thread you started about your website has multiple comments about how bad it is) and yet you put it on every photo on your website.

Dennis, that is some seriously good work! As mentioned above, I find the tone-mapping a little intense, but I suspect that's a generational thing. With respect to your watermark, I see nothing wrong at all with the way you've done it, and unlike 99.9% of the water-marked images on-line, there's actually a reason to mark these.

Whether I choose to change my logo is my choice. This is a campaign where his contact info is at the bottom of the gallery and every image is part of one overall image. Would you watermark every photo in a collage?

If your going to water mark photos then you water mark all of them. Why would you only water mark one of then in a collection?

I personally don't watermark any of my photos.

I just find it rather funny that you tell others not to watermark because it's distracting when your watermark is even more distracting.

The watermark is actually really good. Now I'm tempted to redesign mine to something along those lines.
Denis, your work is more fitting of someone mid career rather than a 17 year old just starting out. Major kudos and I can't wait to see what you put out next.
