Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Shot some picture at a building fire the other night. Very low light (orange street lights) above parking lot. Any advice for low light focusing next time?

Yeah, how many of these things are you gonna set? Seems like a lot of trouble just for a photo.

Seriously. A orange gel over a speedlight would be my first suggestion, try and match the surrounding light sources. To help with focus, you will need some sort of af illuminator.

Try and stay out of the firefighters way.

Unfortunately yes, I'm from a firefighting family, so i keep a close eye on family and friends. These connections also allowed me access to some events that others can't get close to. Plus I've been contacted by some local media outlets that are interested in some of my images.

oh ok that makes sense i wouldn't know how to help as i have never experienced/photographed large/house fires

Nice photos from what I see. I am the fire photographer for my local dept. so I have taken some night shots in low light. The lighting you had here was just right for how the photos look in my opinion. If you would have used a flash, the photos would have been a lot darker as well as the reflective parts on the gear and trucks would have shown up more and everything else less. Keep up the good work.
