Firefighting Photos

They are great, you really have the eye for it.

That's what I thought. I do the same thing. My problem is that I work 90% medical calls and very few fires anymore. I'm an engine co. officer and I'm so busy I very seldom take photos anymore. What department?

Again, great shots.

I am with the Lumpkin Co Fire Dept in Georgia. We get a wide variety of calls so I get plenty of chances to get some great pictures. Most are put on the web site that me a friend put together ( http://lumpkin911.org/ )

Lizardqing and I also have other photo's on one of our other websites as well (http://luminf.100webcustomers.com/photos.htm ). We go out and walk around the town or the mountains sometimes looking for the perfect shot.

Here is one from when we walked one of the creeks here in the north Georgia mountains...

Number two is amazing to me. Great work

I love #2 except for the camera shake, although I have to admit that it's a great photo, considering the conditions! WHOA!

For really dark shots like that, a really wide aperture and increasing your ISO can help to increase your shutter speeds, which would brighten up the darker images a bit and help to reduce any possible camera shake from hand-holding the camera.
