Anyone ever taken long exposures on fireworks. With the 4th coming just wondered what it would look like

I usually set my camera on a tripod with a remote release, and set it to Bulb mode and I open the shutter as the firework goes off and close the shutter after it goes boom and disperses. Usually a 4-6 seconds exposure. Aperture usually around f8-11

Exactly this, except you also need to prefocus: Set your focus mode to manual and focus on infinity.

Nope, never done any fireworks photos. Well, ok, maybe last night. Manual mode, ISO 100, F/8-11, Shutter 4-10 seconds, low light noise reduction = off, Tripod, Wireless shutter release.
