First attempt at a water drop... FAILED

This was my first attempt at a water drop. I first tried pouring water into the cup. Then I tried a TURKEY BASTER to drop the water in lol... Then I just threw a penny in and realized my sync speed isn't as fast as I need it to be... Anywho this is the best I came up with. Its grainy from facebook... Oh and here's another photo inspired from one I saw someone posted a couple days ago (I think it was Reznap?) that I tried to do and again failed lol. I thought the end result was okay though

im just obsessed with trying to get a good clean crisp photo of an iris right now.

what did you use for the water drop, it looks like you dropped in a quater or some type of coin? or am I seeing things....also what were your settings?
