First attempt at birds-Seagulls

I was at Wildwood, NJ this past week and had the first real opportunity to try out my new Canon 70-200 2.8IS. Here are some of the results.

Any advice to improve future bird shots will be greatly appreciated. I debated even posting these, but decided I needed some pointers. Thanks for the help!

Hey pretty cool pictures. There was one time, my five yr old cousin with a cheap camera tried to capture a pic of a bird and it started chasing him, he cried and ran for at least a 100 m. These pictures are indeed wonderful, especially the close up shot.

Are you kidding me? These are great photos. How did you ever get that third one? What shutter speed were you using? Focus is sharp, too.
