First attempt at water drops

My camera (nikon d3000) wouldn't use a shutter speed faster than 1/200 while the flash was on, so some of the photos had some blur:grumpy:. I also couldn't figure out how to keep the edge of the bowl out of the frame....Despite these problems, I got some photos that I'm satisfied with. CC welcome

You could try standing in a chair and shooting from high up to avoid getting the edge of the bowl. It may also allow you to get more ripples!
I always love the water drop shots! Ive done hundreds of them and still like to play around with it!

misstwinklytoes- it was a tie dye T-shirt! it worked better than i thought

doziergraphic- thats what i'm going to try. i couldn't last time because i was shooting indoors where there wasn't enough light
 
they are awesome and I like how you can see the colors of the bowl in the background it colors up the water a little.
