First attempts at studio shots

Using cardboard, napkins, house lamps, and a tripod I was able to make what resembled a studio. So I figured I'd have a go at taking some shots of my valentine's day gift from my girlfriend.

ALL input welcome, as this was a seriously make-shift setup and I've not a clue what I'm doing

Like the second one more. The first one - the hot spot in the leather takes away from it. Maybe if it was more centered ? ( the hot spot). Way to be creative !

Thanks for the input! It's funny because I liked the first one more and now everyone seems to like the second haha. It does put a lot more emphasis on the watch face that's for sure

I prefer #1 because the watch face has better contrast. For me the highlight on the lower strap is not to hot and accents the shape and texture of the strap better than #2 does.

The contrast on #1 is the reason why I liked it more. I actually took #2 first and decided it was too washed with the glare from the light, so I went with a more direct angle
