First B&W, need help on eyes

well as the title says this is my first on camera b&w picture and i did not use flash. or i dont remember using one. i think it was just the lights behind me. I cant seem to get the light dots out of his eyes and make it look right.

I moved the eyes, rather than removing them.

A rough edit, but something to consider.

TBaraki's edit works well. Taking the glare out altogether would look unnatural, but the little pinpoints look odd as well.
