and let me tell you: this thing wasn't easy. bees are busy little fellows, moving around way too fast for my shaky hand
the on-camera flash didn't do much good either. anyway, here are some i'm quite pleased about:

1. fly. i think my flash reflected in it's eye

2. other fly. the best of the three imho.

3. bee. way too harsh flash in this one buty like i said: on-camera flash

Hey pretty good for your first bug outing. I'm not sure which is my fav. between 1 and 2. In 1, the fly is exposed much better with much better detail....whereas 2 obviously has the better background and cool pollen stuck to the bee. Still I'd be pretty happy with these for my first attempts.

yes, these are all cropped, 30 to 50% of the original.
