What's new

First couple of pics

hi
Thanks for showing your pictures. I think the second lot are more stimulating - maybe you're warming up. My thought really was the first
bunch are nicely taken pictures but .. they kinda got no soul.
The poppy and the b&w of the rocks in the water are more happening.

How do I put the little copyright thing at the bottom? lol Do i need photoshop?

I also took this one, I really like it for some reason.

I quite like the composition of your new fence-photo! A pity that Photobucket once again "thought": "Hm, many leaves, lots of information in that photo, we need to resize that!" I am sure it is even nicer as a larger version. It is nice to see how the fence pole is in the first (vertical) third of the picture, with the fence beginning in the top left part, leading from there into the picture towards the darker fir trees (?) in the background. I really wish that were larger, but what can you do with Photobucket??? Their random resizing is a nuisance in their otherwise quite ok (and free!) service.

I also like the poppy. Quite "popping" in colour, and very crisp. Good focus.
And you exposed quite well on the water of that river there, which I can imagine might have been a difficult exposure because of the many light reflections on the water. Did you let the camera decide? Are you still mainly concentrating on composition? That is ok for the start!

Yes, that almost abstract photo of the water surface is quite appealing and has great tones. I like that one, too.

For the next lot of photos you want to show us, feel free to start a new thread, ok?

Yeah, is there a better place to host my photos for free that won't resize them? That picture did turn out quite well, I'll repost it somewhere else and see if it works better. Yeah, i just let the camera decide the exposure, I don't know enough about it to choose myself. I knew I should have put these in a new thread, I'll do that next time. I still have some more that are good enough to share, if I get the patience to put them on photobucket. Thanks for the comments

These guys seem ok to me.. Quick signup just need a email address.
They say they put banners on their pages but i never experienced any when i used their host. only bummer with their free service is you can't
display an image file on this forum remotely - so you gotta give a link to the page instead.
