So I just got back my first two rolls of film out of the (new to me) F100.

Seeing as Halloween is approaching I did some shooting of a local graveyard.

These are straight out of the camera with no edits. I'm using regular Fuji 400.

I tended to get everything a little overexposed so I'm not -.3 exposure compensating to hopefully fix the prob.

C&C please.

1. Cool old headstone that broke off and was then propped back up in the exposed root of a tree:

2. Peekabo around the tree to a green door:

3. Tiny headstone for someone set into the side of a hill:

Thanks guys,

Try a roll at half the ISO and see how you like the quality of the negatives.

Or, take one roll, shoot half at ISO 400, and the rest at 200. Use the same subject matter.

The first one is the best IMO, the rest just aren't that interesting from a subject matter standpoint. Stopping down in #2 would help since the tree isn't completely in focus. Exposure seems ok on all of them, but if its negative film is a bit more forgiving and adjusted by whoever processed it...

I think I was all the open on the 2nd shot if that's the one your talking about.

The trouble is, which is the subject? The tree or the door? The door isn't in focus but the tree is. The way it's framed, it's the door, the way it's focussed, it's the tree

That's a good point. I was trying to give the idea of peeking around the tree...so to me the tree is the subject. But you're right it could just as easily be the door.

I think it would have looked odd though to have a large brown blur in the foreground and a sharp door in the background.
