First Engagement Shoot

was hired for my first engagement photoshoot. Overall I think it went pretty well. The couple said they had a lot of fun, and they are very pleased with the finished photos.

Now I turn them to a trained eye, to see if I can get any pointers for next time.

Hey! I thought that parked looked familiar. I knew it was Bakersfield when I saw the Padre Hotel picture. Nice job.

two stick out for odd colors, but the rest are great. I'm sure they are just as happy from the pics as they are getting engaged.

The second one and the last one are the winners for me, but they all seem to be high quality, and it looks like you were very serious about shooting them.

Some of them seem to have some distracting elements in them, e.g., the big house and loops in the left part of the frame in #1. And the one with the bridge in the BG might have the gentleman's eyes a bit soft.

Nicely done... until it got darker out. The lighting/quality of the lower-light images is not nearly as nice as the first, brighter light set.
