First fashion/model shoot... need opinions

hopefully its ok that i create another thread for my own, but this subject is quite different from my other topic

the day before yesterday i did a fashion shooting with a friend of mine. we tried 5 different outfits and some locations. i'll start with posting some pics of the first two outfits and ask some opinions on certain things i'm not 100% sure about

ok here are two pics of the first two dresses:

here i essentially need opinions on the colors & contrast (i processed them with the photshop curve tool) and on the cropping... on the pics with the white dress, do you like it that the necklace is not in the right position? (cause i like it more than in normal position and the girl doesnt )
other kind critique is welcome too of course

EDIT: someone told me that the positioning in the middle gets boring fast, and i think so too ;/

I like number one and five, although 5 could crop out a bit at the top, it looks like a building in the background.
I cannot see number 2.
As for 3 and 4 they are cur right at the knees, which is a bad place to crop and I am not sure what she is selling, but I bet you would get arrested for buying it.......

this is the only good one in my opinion.

at least from what i was able to see. she looks a little weird in her face on the first image, though it is quite dramatic. i like that at least.

the one with the flannel and torn jean shorts is okay, but it could've been better posing-wise. the crop was a nice touch, but i too agree that the middle is quite boring for a subject to be. try the 1/3rds rule. it makes images more dramatic.

but yes, i really like the last one. the hair wisps are a nice touch, her facial expression invokes wonder, and her wardrobe compliments the background nicely.

good job so far! keep it up.

@number 5, yes the bridge in the background isnt 100% optimal... but i didnt like it cropped, destroyed the mood imo

posing wise these pictures arent the best i admit, but they were the best candidates for my questions

There are quite a few that the girl poses are nice and executed well but the background does nothing for me. Your moving in the right direction without a doubt but next time, try shooting her in from of a background like a wall and don't let things like branches seem like they are growing into or out of her head. My first model shoot was in front of a black curtain and they came out great, so its your model people want to fixate on, not the background. UNLESS she is interacting with the background or it becomes relevant to the shot, then by all means include it.

I'm getting a healthy dose of lady flesh on the forum today, what with videos of girls taking their clothes off and photos of girls in the woods in their undies. Keep it up everyone! In every sense of the word.

you're not the first one who gave me the advice with a monocolored/wall background, but honestly i like different backgrounds alot... of course the focus should be on the model, but IMO the background adds to the model and vice versa (in the optimal case)
of course - and thats a good thing - there's much to improve... but i really want to include environment (maybe i'll try monocolored too, but it wont get my priority)

This. If you have situation like this where you have dapled sun, put the sun directly behind the model. You will get super nice photo because the sun isnt very harsh, it will give the model natural rim light, plus you wont see annoying shadows on your subject. Also if you shoot it with large aperture, it will give you nice bokeh from the dapled sun. Additional lighting may be needed depending how bright the background is (or reflector).
