A bad comment al least?? Lol

I will give it a try. The pink flowers are not interesting at all. You probably just saw pretty flowers and decided it must make a pretty picture. Well I have been there and admit I still do that :banghead:. However, there is nothing that stands out that would keep anyone interested. Try to get closer to the flower so there is little to no distracting background elements that would draw attention away from the subject (I'm guessing the flowers).

The first flower looks like a much better subject and held my interest more. I am not sure where your intended focus point was, but I think the little orange bit would have been nice. If it is possible, go back and shoot that same flower using a tripod and or a faster shutter speed (not sure what your settings were). I think you did well in shooting it both landscape and portrait; continue to experiment like that.

I am a noob as well and one of the best things that I read, which seems obvious, is that the best time to take a vertical is right after you take the horizontal.

The green fellow is sort of visually flat, and the framing in the first one is a little.. well it feels chopped off. I like the framing in the vertical one with the green flower in it. I think a little fooling around in a photo editor to give it a little more visual pop might make that one rather nice.

The pink ones don't work well for me. They have the visual pop, but the horizontal one has the "subject", the main point of interest, way up at the top right of the frame, a bit too far off center for my taste. Off-center, though, was a solid choice. The last one, the vertical with the pink flowers just feels sort of weirdly tilted, and again a little cut off (lower right corner).

You've got some ideas here, and you're making pictures that are pretty darn close to pictures I would like, but you're not quite putting it all together for me.

Thank you thank you all!! I love to get feedback! I learn so much from it! and I just got the camera about 3 weeks ago so I'm still in the learning progress but just to explain as why I took the pics of the pink(not so amazing flowers) is because they were my daughter's protect ;) I will definitely keep everything in mind for the next time! Luckily is my mother in laws patio, so I can go again!

First impressions - I think I would agree with JacaRanda, they are just nice snapshots. My first response was that the backgrounds were a little distracting (as JacaRanda has already noted). So my comment would be to watch the cropping and the focus. In the bottom two images, the white flowers are out of focus (OOF), yet they still will attract a viewer's eye. In the same images, you have cropped off parts of the red flowers - top right on the left-hand picture and bottom right on the right-hand picture. In the top two images, I am not sure what is flower and what isn't. Probably more because I am not fully acquainted with the flowers that grow in Florida, than anything else. If you are really interested in flower photography, take a look at some of the work by Harold Davis and Denise Ippolito. These are just a couple of the photographers whose images I like. Lastly, please number your images. This makes it a lot easier for a reviewer to refer to them.
