first great blue heron of the year bank vole and mink

Nice set. I only get quick glimpses of mink ( usually when they run across the road as I am driving ). We have had some herons but so far I have deleted all I have shot.

Thank you i dont get to see mink very often but i have had good luck with three of them i have seen them four times in my life and three out of the four the mink did not run away right away this one was in hunting mode so it did not really care that i was there to the point where it tried to walk right up to me but i took three big steps back

That reminds me of my first close encounter with a fox. I hear of rabid foxes here a lot, so when the one I was photographing took a few steps toward me, I took backward steps too!
