First Green Heron of the year

I had a busy day at the lake the other day, what with the warm weather bringing out both people and the birds. Caught this Green Heron trying to hide up in a tree and managed a couple of shots through the limbs. First sighting of the year.

I saw one yesterday but I didn't have my big Tamron with me so it didn't turn out. Lovely birds.
