First home setup

I purchased a few things on amazon.com to help me get started with studio type shoots. It's all very inexpensive, but I'm a beginner- so let's let all of that slide and not bother mentioning it again.

I have a 9x15 white muslin
2 33 inch white shoot through umbrellas
3 45 Watt 5500k Daylight bulbs (CFL) [I already placed an order for 2 105 watt 6500K CFLs]
2 7 ft light stands and a mini stand that's at about 4 ft fully extended

This leaves me with the one CFL without an umbrella. Is this supposed to be a fill light? Can I use it or an umbrella to light up my muslin? I would play around with this more but I have already busted a CFL :/ The lights do not have dimmer switches on them, so I wont be able to translate any stop numbers into reality. But I can move the lights closer and farther away from the subject/background.

I can't find a good diagram online with my equipment. All of the ones I see have reflectors and soft boxes and backlights, which I have none of. I don't even have a full length mirror in my house.
