Thanks Crimb - and yes they are fascinating to look at once you get close. I tried to get some wing pattern shots but failed to get any that were any good.

Neat. Looks like you might have a bit of sensor dust. I know first hand how freaking difficult it is to try to keep a sensor clean.

Typically I only ever notice sensor dust 5 seconds after posting to a forum
