I was bored this morning (1:00 a.m.) and couldn't sleep, so remembering that it was close to a full moon, I decided to give it a shot. I stepped outside, fired off 5 pictures, came back in and had this one. This was shot handheld and the moon isn't as sharp as I'd like it to be, but let me know what you think!

Nice to see some serious posts from broken minds!

But to get OT; The picture is as you said not as sharp as it could be, but shot handheld it is not that bad. There have been some shots of the moon here the last couple of days, and some of them are better than yours. Think that taking a shot of the moon just to take a shot is a bit waste of time, but if you do it to learn a bit about what settings that work and not, then it's OK. I think your settings seems to be quite good, so just the tripod that is missing! Also maybe think about trying to make your picture stand out a bit from the rest, by framing the moon in some way. The moon is the moon, and people have seen great shots of the moon before.

wtf is up with this guy.... Noone can mod this!?

Messed up mind... when you can see a picture of the moon - and all you can think about is nails through your penis ^^

omg hahaha i loled!!! ****ed up pictures. not the right place of course.

There goes my breakfast, time for a new keyboard.

Glad to see that that's been cleared up. Anyone else have anything as far as C&C?

I see your point about it not being the most interesting shot in the world. This was mainly an experiment to figure out the settings. I think I got them pretty close. I definitely need a tripod. VERY BADLY. All said and done, next time, now that I know the proper settings, I will work more on making a much more interesting shot. Thanks for your input!

You're welcome :)

HAHA...now that the thread have been modified, many posts just looks crazy! ;) Like one member losing his or her's breakfast, just buy looking at your picture of the moon! ;) LOL ...C&C is one thing, but that is just mean ;)

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Not that bad of a moon shot!

I never saw the original bad post. ;)

Pretty good for handheld.

Thanks! I'm hoping that with Christmas coming, I'll maybe have a tripod by the end of the year. If anything, it will be a present to myself...
