Well I was able to steal a day and headed up to the North Shore in Minnesota *Along Lake Superior*.

Here are some photos that I captured..

Yes.. I am a complete noob...did my best.. now Id like comments...

I like them, the 4th is my favorite. Those leaves look great.

Not bad for a noob!

They do, however, seem all a tad overexposed. There could be several causes for this...... hosting issues, uncalibrated monitor, exposure compensation accidently changed....

yea... I havent quite understood how to properly deal with slower shutter speeds.... How slow is TOO slow....

When movement (either of the subject or the camera) causes unwanted blurring.

If you're trying to intentionally blur water, as in your first couple of shots, 5 or 10 seconds may still not be long enough. If you're trying to 'freeze' action sports, 1/250 may not be fast enough. It all depends on your subject and how you want the final image to look.
