First Photos, C&C Welcome

Just recently got my first camera and took a trip to Philadelphia to see Neil Young. I don't really have any experience with photography at all so Im still trying to figure out all the settings and how they interact with each other. But while there i took a few photos and here was my favorite. I tried some digital HDR with it and I think it turned out ok.

to do an HDR you need more than one exposure of the picture.

Also.. You're HDR looks funky do to the blotchy highlights and how dark the tower now looks on it.

Yeah i didnt really have the opportunity to try real HDR but thought I would try some digital HDR. And I see where you are coming from with the blotchy highlights especially on the left and right side of the building right? Maybe I can fix that in Photoshop.
