Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I had a small shoot of a friend today and I lit her up here with a small 22inch silver reflector with the sun shining from the back in this shot.

I see green glare circles in the picture is that from the sun or is that from the reflector and how should I avoid that? Or use it to my advantage. I see some cool lens flare shots and stuff. Any comments tips and critique would be appreciated. Thanks

Here is the photo

This is really well exposed,
I really need to get a nice large reflector.
I have a question for you all, I never used a reflector but i am wondering if its really reflecting that much light? from the picture i see here seems like the reflector really did a great job Im always using flash and sometimes i am wondering if a reflector would produce a more natural light for fill?

Looks good for your first time with a reflector! Glare is most likely from the sun. Were you using a lens hood?

If you didn't have a reflector you can still get away with that shot with great exposure. Just put the sun directly behind the subject and change some settings and you will figure it out.

and make a picture of a silhouette?
or expose the model and have a completely blown out sky?

A little out of focus. Usually you want to focus on the face (eyes if possible). but the shot is neat. The flare worked to your advantage in this shot, but I think you'd rather have her in better focus.

Nope. Just play with settings and you'll figure it out. It's not hard. These were taken w/out any flash. I took the first image and couldn't figure out how it came out with the tree being bright yet the sun was shining at 2pm with the sky not being over blown. (In the first image) I thought it was camera mistake or something so a few days later I took the wife outside and saw my neighbor and took 2 separate shots and you can see the results in 2 and 3. I had to try from that angle (from below) since I wanted to get the sun right behind the subject.

Memento, this was taken at Great Falls (in the Maryland side)

Lastolite has a boat load of videos for their products, but they also will educate you on how to use different pieces of kit and can be applied to whichever manufacturer of your choice. I have a TriGrip and can only give it praise. I plan on getting several more diffussrs and reflectors in the future.

This is a rather lengthy video, but I think it will answer your question.
