Its been a long while since Ive been here and Ive been trying to keep pressing on with my photography and learn more. Ive been trying to do portraiture lately but I seem to have a hard time figuring out how to pose people. I think I have some general idea but really not enough to be able to grab someone and just say "do this, do that" while snapping away.

anyway, these three are from my most recent shoot. I have my own various issue with them and would like to hear what others have to say as well so I can continue to progress.

On this one, I wish I would have had a bit more DoF so the model was a but more in focus. When viewing the picture on the LCD on the camera it looked better. I think it was because the image was smaller

In this one she seems to stiff

Beyond that I dont know. We had about 10 minutes of light to shoot with.

nice set! I like #1 the best. Watch the shadows on her face in #3. I recently ruined a perfect picture due to shadows on the face.

I think the shadows were done quite nicely in that last one. IDK if it's what you were going for, but this is called Rembrandt lighting.

I did notice it and went with it so there wouldn't be too much shadow but still enough light. Learned that in one of my photography classes haha. The bluebonnets are blooming better this year than last and we just got some more rain today so that'll help too. Three years ago they were nuts!! It was very nice having that much blue everywhere. There is some yellow flower dominating this year though and it's not overly pretty. I'm sure you could do something pretty cool with it though photography wise
